Went here for my hubby's birthday last night. We've eaten at the Morton's in NYC and enjoyed our experience then too. We each ordered a drink. Their martini and sangria were delicious! Started off with the wedge salad which was excellent. That dressing is chef's kiss. My hubby ordered the fillet and lobster tail, my son ordered the filet mignon, I ordered the miso sea bass. The steaks were a little overcooked but it was still tender and delicious. The sea bass was slightly undercooked in the middle but the miso sauce was very flavorful. We ordered the mash potatoes, creamed spinach, and matchstick fries. Loved it all. For dessert we ordered the chocolate lava cake which was outstanding. Is it pricey? Yes, but you get what you pay for and everything is pricey these days. We enjoyed the food, ambiance and the service, and will be returning.
Glad I went during Restaurant Week and not on a regular night. Food overall was okay, best part was the dessert. Service was fine until a plate and a knife were dropped on my Chanel bag, Thankfully no food was on the plate and I was able to wipe away the sauce from it. We all make mistakes and purposely did not mention it to management to not get the server in trouble.
Last night at dinner with my family for my MIL birthday and we happened upon this. After reading this it was clear I needed to give this awesome deal a shot. Started with the wedge salad which was phenomenal with the crumbled blue cheese, cherry tomatoes, crumbled bacon bits and top shelf blue cheese dressing. Next up was a 6 oz medium rare filet mignon which was juicy, tender and downright phenomenal . I paired it with the garlic mashed potatoes which were creamy, buttery and velvety smooth. The dessert which is included which I never get was the chocolate lava cake with rasberries and vanilla ice cream was a perfect ending. We also opted for the 1/2 doz oyster platter to start and they were soft and fresh and extremely delicious . This place is definitely a bucket list place to check out for yourself.
Rothmann's Steak House is a dining experience like no other! The service is exceptional from start to finish--attentive, professional, and always ensuring that every detail is perfect. The highlight of our meal was the porterhouse, which was nothing short of spectacular--succulent, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. The wine selection at Rothmann's is outstanding, offering a wide range of choices that complement the meal beautifully. They had wine from Peju vineyards which we don't often see - a favorite! To top it all off, the presentation of the LOUIS XIII Cognac was a true showstopper. The elegance and care with which it was served made for a memorable and luxurious finish to an already incredible evening. Rothmann's Steak House is the epitome of fine dining--highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in the very best!
Came here on a Sunday. Ambiance is nice and service staff are attentive. The food: - filet mignon: I got medium rare. It was nicely grilled with great seasoning. - lobster macaroni and cheese. A bit too cheesy. The lobster doesn't taste too frozen - sea bass. The texture felt a bit undercooked. But the sauce was tasty
Morton's is a great spot if you're in the mood for delicious food, nice decor and great service. We had the house salad and Caesar salad. The portions are huge. The comped bread and butter was delicious. The filet mignon and potato hit the spot. The steak was cooked perfectly as ordered. Management walks the room. Tien gave us wonderful, friendly service.
Great service, consistent & properly cooked steaks, and delicious food. We've always had a good meal at this location, which is why we keep coming back. We make our annual trek here, usually for Hubs' birthday. When you order a medium rare cut of meat here, it will be exactly that: edges crisp and center a crimson-hued pink. Appetizers are delicious too, and it is recommended to try the variety if you are with a large party. We've ordered the gamut of items, from the Ocean seafood tower to the Tomahawk to the chocolate lava cake... everything We've had has been as expected. (Speaking of which, if you are with 2-3 adults, try ordering the tomahawk steak if you've never had it before. It's a sight to behold; the meat is pre-cut, and the presentation is impressive. ) Every item we ordered has come out consistent and expected of a high-end restaurant. The reasons I can't give it that 5th star... a) service has been inconsistent every time. Sometimes it's great... fully staffed, seated swiftly, and food arrives quickly. Other times, we're waiting at the entrance, and the front end isn't staffed, so a queue of patrons waiting to be seated starts growing. Further, We've had reservations requesting a booth, but walk-ins ahead of us get the booth. Also, the wait at our table for food might have a huge gap between courses. b) Bathroom: Sometimes TP is not stocked, and the stalls have tissue all around the floors. Additionally, some soap pumps are empty, and there are no feminine products stocked (even for coin purchase). Despite those minor dings, wait wmstaff is wonderful. George and "J" (Janine) are the 2 most awesomest waiters ever. They have kept our tables crumb-free, regularly change our plates, and make any special requests happen. Tip: join their loyalty program and go on your birthday!
